Thank you for taking the time to visit our wedding site. We are both very excited about the upcoming wedding and reception! Please RSVP by July 12th, 2014. If you miss that date, please contact Jessica or Wesley.

As many of you already know, we are planning a small, intimate ceremony on Thursday, July 31st with a large reception following on Saturday, August 2nd.

For the reception, we have spent many hours and enlisted many amazing helpers to prepare Wesley's family's former warehouse and adjacent property. This warehouse was last used in the mid-1990s and we are excited to share it with you. For more information about the warehouse, please see below. We appreciate you taking the time to visit this site. For more information, especially for those of your coming from out of town, please see the side navigation. Thank you again and we look forward seeing you on August 2nd!

Address: 14601 SW Winch Rd. Amity, OR 97101

Please note, the above address is for the rental house adjacent to the property.

The Warehouse

Warehouse 6 (2).jpeg

Originally built after WWII by Robert Lee Walker (Wesley's Maternal Great-Granddad) and his son, Don Walker. "Bob" tried to avoid the tragedy that befalls many rural warehouses (including the previous one on the same site) by utilizing surplus steel from the Kaiser Shipyards in Portland. Since closing it's doors we have removed all of the grain silos, demolished the horse barn to the east (not pictured) and planted grass and other decorative plants next to the pear tree shown to the left in the above picture (land that was formerly a scrap pile). Sweet corn and peas are planted in the adjacent fields.

Below is a picture from the warehouse's heyday!

Camping

The area we are planning on camping is a short walk to east of the warehouse. You can drive a pickup down to the area, but we do not recommend driving a car. If you need a vehicle to pack your gear down, please let us know.

The creek is primarily used for irrigation and is dammed a short ways down stream. Feel free to bring a canoe or fishing pole, I do not recommend swimming in the water - but hey, to each their own! The dam is down a field road at the end of Winch, you are welcome to walk or drive down to take a look.
